This was seriously such a great followup book after WTTU. I heard about this series back when it got published, but I never paid much attention to it. But somehow I managed to get a hold of WTTU recently and I finished in two days. I had to beg my parents to let me buy the second book, and fortunately, they complied to my requests! But it was really worth it, trust me. I finished this book in a matter of two days as well. I sacrificed my sleep for this book. ITS JUST THAT GOOD. The ending just took me by surprise. My mouth was agape during the epilogue and it wouldn't close till minutes later. I got my two friends hooked onto this series as well, and we can't wait till the release of The War of Gods. Oh boy, I hope that someday, WTTU and the series will turn into a movie or something. THIS IS JUST SOO GOOD. The shortest I can put my feelings for this book I'm in love. This story is just beautiful and never fails to blow me off my feet.
So I've been following Con since the Soompi days and I admit this is a review of the Soompi version (which I've finished 3-4 years ago) and just wanted to purchase and reread the entire thing.
Read it, you'll not regret it. One of the best books out there with an excellent plot (you can never guess what's next) and writing. It's one of those books that will change your life forever.
there were some cute scenes, but everything was dragged out more than necessary. my eyes glazed over while reading many of the chapters. I really didn't care for the chapters of useless chatter and bickering between tae hyun and yoori. he's also a gang leader, but the book does not get into any of his gang related activities. I really have no perception of him as a gang leader. we'll see how the next segment goes.
I was never a big fan of reading but when I read this series, my whole life changed. Reading is now a passion of mines! What can I say? Con Template got me smiling like a dummy over here. TaeRi's skin ship and love for each other is to die for! I've read three parts of this series and I've just purchased book four not too long ago. Tbh.. I'm kind of scared to finish this series but it's too late to turn back now.
This book didn't talk much about gangster life like I expected. It focused too much on romance. Could have been better.
When I read this a few years back, I thought it was amazing! The writing was on a whole other level compared to other fanfics I've been reading at the time. Recently I felt the urge to read it again and I found out the writer had turned it into a book and I bought it since I cannot seem to find it online anymore.
The writing is still the same as it was a few years back, I'm relieved that Con.Template didn't stray away from her original story, But to turn it into three books I think is a bit much. I mean.. it is what it is, just a fanfic. All I wanted to do was enjoy a very light read for a brief moment but I had to end up buying two books to do that... I probably won't buy the third book to finish it. But thank you Con.Template for letting me reminisce with Choi Yoori and Kwon Taehyun, even if I had to pay money for it.
Ugh, the romance in the second installment was to die for. The first book laid the foundation for the story (introducing the characters, creating the main plot, etc.). But the second book really focused on the characters, mainly Yoori and Taehyun. Truly, the feels could not be contained as I was reading this book. And the ending, ugh! Con really knows how to pull at the heartstrings. I now remember why I was so hesitant to start reading WTTU again. The wait was intolerable, especially with all the cliffhangers.
The only gripe I had in the last book were the grammatical errors. The second book faired much better. I didn't seem to find any errors, which I was relieved about.
I'm now going to distract myself with school and other things as I wait for the third book to be published.
